Most vehicles depreciate the moment you drive them off the lot. If you are in the market for a motorcycle, you may decide to purchase a used model in order to save money. If you are looking for a Honda, a Victory, a Yamaha, or a Suzuki, you may be able to find exactly what you are looking for at great used motorcycle prices . However, if a Harley Davidson is the brand you are after, you may be surprised at the price tag that is attached to used models. At one point in time, used motorcycle prices for Harley Davidsons were often higher that the prices for new ones. They only manufactured a specific number of Harleys each year, and unless you were one of the lucky ones to get one in a given year, your only other option was to buy a used one – and Harley owners took advantage of the situation. They sold their bikes for as much, if not more than, new ones. Once they began producing more Harleys each year, and the demand for them decreased, used prices fell – but they didn’t fall as much as one would think. Most Harley Davidson dealerships sell used bikes. Most are trades that people brought in when they bought their new bikes. Although they are cheaper than new models, they are not as cheap as you might think. If you have your heart set on a Hog, you can definitely buy a used bike to save some money, but for a little more, you can have a brand new one.
